Firmware Development Engr
Job Description: Firmware Engineers develop firmware in a multidisciplinary organization and collaborate with design, and/or hardware engineers in the design, development of Solid State Drives, (SSD). In this role the engineer will work within a firmware team and will deliver code to meet or exceed product requirements. The team operates within an Agile development process and may define and/or respond to real time need for current or sustaining products. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software and/or firmware development and test process.
You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree with at least 4 years additional experience, or a Master of Science degree in Computer Science , Computer Engineering.or Electrical Engineering
Additional desired qualifications include:
Demonstrate experience in large-scale software design principles, fluency in C and/or C++ programming language, and a firm understanding of the fundamentals of ARM related firmware programming requirements.
Demonstrate experience with real-time operating systems and embedded RISC processors
Other skills are a plus:
- Demonstrate experience in storage systems and concepts, storage device drivers, or storage system interface protocols
- Demonstrate experience in data manipulation and memory-management algorithms in flash memories
