About Barnes-Jewish Hospital
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top 10 hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. About the College
Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College is a private nursing college that enrolls over 600 students in its baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degree programs. Barnes-Jewish College is housed in a nationally recognized educational facility with state-of-the-art classrooms, lecture halls and a Clinical Simulation Institute with six patient simulation labs and two exam rooms providing high-tech, advanced nursing care experiences. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
The Clinical Simulation Facilitator takes exceptional care of people by providing a safe, effective practice environment within the patient simulation laboratories for students at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels.
Orients faculty, students and support staff to the patient simulation laboratories
Directs validation sessions for mastery of knowledge and skills in consultation with course faculty at all levels
Ensures simulation laboratories are properly prepared for faculty and student utilization in a timely manner
Orients all clinical faculty to current OSHA requirements used by affiliating agencies in conjunction with the Clinical Simulation Institute Director
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
Clinical experience - 2 years or more
Clinical assessment skills - 4 years or more
Ability to stand, walk, and/or move about for 75% of a shift in order to perform the essential duties of the job
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience in medical-surgical nursing - 2 years or more
Experience working with nursing students - 1 year or more
Experience with simulation based learning - 1 year or more
