Bellewood Presbyterian Homes for Children is a non-profit agency that serves at risk and abused children in Kentucky. As the only Presbyterian owned childcare treatment agency in Kentucky, we are a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a ministry of the three presbyteries of Kentucky.
At its locations in Louisville, Lexington, Owensboro, Paducah and Bowling Green, Bellewood provides a safe haven and an opportunity for a better life for all children.
Since its inception in 1849, there have been dramatic changes in the type of children referred to Bellewood and the services offered, but our mission -to try to heal the wounds of neglect, abandonment and abuse among children and families - remains the same.
