This position is responsible for managing design and development projects for this consumer products manufacturer. • Works with many other departments towards the successful launch of new products; • Responsibility over the design, quality, investment and cost of the new product; • Manages all aspects of a project from inception through production launch; • Develops and tracks test plan to ensure quality compliance; • Understands materials and processes used in product design: plastics, metal fabrication, glass, etc.; • Coordinates technical, engineering, and project activities. Experience:
  • 7-10+ years of project management or related engineering experience; • PMP certification is preferred; • Proficient with tools associated with new project development activities: Stage gate development processes, DFMEA, Design reviews, project planning, part tracking and milestone schedule management; • Experience in consumer goods, HVAC, cooling systems, heat transfer systems is a plus; • Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management, new product development, design for manufacturing (DFM) principals; • Strong leadership, supervisory, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
