Carlisle Coatings and Waterproofing Incorporated, a leading manufacturer in waterproofing technolog,y has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician at their Wylie, TX location. The person in this position is responsible for troubleshooting issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Maintenance technician works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

Repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps to ensure optimum operating safety, quality of product and productivity.Electrical and PLC/Electronic experience a plus.

Troubleshoot, repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc.

Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.

Inspect and apply preventive maintenance procedures to keep unscheduled downtime to a minimum, includes lubrication and filter changes.

Set up and operate power tools, drill motor, circular saw, welders, drill press, bench grinder, band saw, hand tools and other metal working equipment. Shop fabrication experience with welding/cutting a plus.

Participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs.

Maintain various plant utilities including boiler, air compressor, cooling tower, drier, etc. to provide adequate heat, air cooling water for plant operations.

Maintain plant security system & fire protection system.

Order, store, and maintain adequate inventory of spare parts to ensure timely repair of machinery and equipment

Focus on housekeeping and cleanliness (Lean and 5-S practices)

Able to work different shifts when volume demands changes

The following are the minimum education and experience requirements. Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 5 years maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair in an industrial/manufacturing environment associated with engineering or maintenance activity is required.

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Vocational and/or technical training certification is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings and write detailed repair reports.

Ability to diagram equipment, or equipment control problems, to quickly focus on source of problem and correct it.

Must be able to organize and coordinate project and maintenance activity.

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills: Use of work order data base (CMMS), Microsoft Word and Excel. Use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
