As a Financial Specialist Team Manager for PNC, you will have a unique opportunity to lead a team to grow client relationships for dual businesses within the company. This position combines a management opportunity with the structure, security and resources of an established name in financial services. Our Team Managers will hire, lead, and develop a group of Financial Specialists; these individuals will support 1 branch within the region, and will be sales leaders for both PNC Bank and PNC Investments. This position reports to the Financial Specialist Territory Manager.
In this key role, your challenge will be to lead each team member to be a 'Financial Concierge' in the branch/branches that they support. You will establish and develop strong partnerships throughout the entire bank network. To accomplish this, it will be necessary to provide exceptional day-to-day sales and service leadership and communication to your team and business partners. You will also be required to actively participate in management meetings and initiatives (for both PNC Investments and Branch Banking).
The successful team manager will coach and partner with the Financial Specialists to drive sales, grow share of wallet, provide service excellence, deepen relationships and retain current client base. It will be critical that you manage risk and regulatory compliance while ensuring the team is knowledgeable on all fiduciary guidelines. You will have accountability for effectively managing your team's Human Resources and staffing functions. You will also be responsible for the implementation and support of corporate and business sponsored programs and initiatives in areas such as: Compliance, Marketing, and Rewards/Recognition. Your schedule will be self-managed, and coordinated to meet the needs of your team and the businesses that you support.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience in the financial field is required.
o FINRA Series 7, 66 (or 63 & 65), 24 (or 9 & 10), and State Life/Health licenses are required.
o Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the brokerage industry is required.
o Minimum of 1-2 years demonstrated supervisory/management experience, preferably with sales supervision of brokerage activity and/or sales/service activities is required.
Additionally, they will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
o Significant working knowledge of: compliance regulations, investment market, securities products, sales process, brokerage operations, and bank products required.
o Significant knowledge of all aspects of investments and the retail branch banking businesses, work-streams, and products required.
o Ability to manage, train, coach and mentor a remote sales force on all operational and sales related activities in a highly collaborative environment.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing and prioritizing workload effectively and efficiently.
o Strong ability to adapt to various personalities and conversation styles as well as exceptional interpersonal communication, presentation, and verbal/ writing skills.
o Strong computer skills to work with high tech desktop tools.
