Develops and implements testing and inspection procedures. Tests raw material, chemicals, and/or finished product to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations. Audits testing results to determine if product specifications are met. Advises operating units on quality control standards for raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and finished products. Recommends corrective action where necessary and develops plant quality control manuals.
Detailed Knowledge and experience with quality system auditing and evaluation.
Detailed knowledge and experience with daily management, up-keep, and system auditing of the following Quality Management Systems: AS9100, AS9100C, AS9110, ISO9001:2008/AS9100:2009
Detailed Knowledge and experience with Discrepancy/Fault analysis, Root Cause evaluation, Corrective Action determination and implementation.
Detailed Knowledge and experience with data analysis, trending, evaluation, taking that data and making powerpoint presentations and being able to teach others the significance of that information.
Must be able to provide positive leadership, influence others, foster relationships with company departments and exterior certification and regulatory agencies.
Must be able to take ownership of and ensure continual improvement relative to the following:
- Processes for the QMS establishment, implementation and maintenance
- Provide reports to the Quality Director and staff regarding performance of the QMS
- Liaison with external parties on matters regarding the QMS
Bachelors Degree preferred with 5 years of Quality experience.
