SUMMARY Provide analytical and credit oversight to the market commercial team/assigned Relationship Manager(s) in monitoring, servicing and underwriting the bank’s lending activities. Represents the bank with professionalism both on the job and within the community by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Partners with Commercial Relationship Managers in meeting with current and prospective clients to understand the specific customer requirements and needs. Collects appropriate financial data and information to ensure an accurate risk assessment.

Analyzes global cash flow for commercial & individual prospects, borrowers and guarantors to identify financial condition, profitability, repayment ability, operating trends, financial support of credit and other various financial indicators.

Monitors past due accounts and maturing loans with loan officers in assigned region on a regular basis.

Monitors completion of lending reports by loan officers in assigned region on a monthly basis.

In conjunction with the Commercial Relationship Manager, annual review for major credit relationships outstanding.

Monitors industry trends and analyze specifc industry trend data to identify potential areas of risk in the loan portfolio.

Partners with Credit Administration to provide quality risk assessments for the Commercial Portfolio.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS Expertise with spreadsheets and word processing applications and ability to use or learn PC email, intranet and other various applications needed to perform the duties of the position.

LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

ANALYTICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical financial applications. Using calculators to do amortization schedules and other financial functions.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret financial institution regulations and a variety of business instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
