The Weitz Company is looking for an experienced Human Resources Assistant to be located out of our Des Moines, IA office.
The Human Resources Assistant performs general and specialized administrative duties for the human resource department. Confidentiality is of utmost importance. This individual acts as a liaison between the HR department and the employees, at both local and business unit level. This position reports to a Human Resources Manager or Human Resources Administrator.
Independent judgment, the ability to work with limited supervision, excellent organizational skills, and the flexibility to coordinate multiple projects with frequent interruptions are necessary skills for this position. Individual should possess excellent analytical skills and should be detail-oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary, as are good typing and general office skills. Discretion is often necessary in working with sensitive and confidential information.

Education: This position requires post-secondary training or high school education.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience. Prefer prior experience working in the Human Resources area.
