Reliability Engineer

for our

Hahnville, LA

location, which is located just outside of New Orleans, LA.

This role will provide direct support to the Polyethylene Plant by serving as the Reliability Engineer for the plant, performing root cause investigations of reliability incidents, maintaining opportunity lists, maintaining the facility maintenance strategy, developing strategies for specific equipment, etc. The Reliability Engineer will have the responsibility of following the Improve Reliability Work Process to help solve equipment related problems and improve PPM and spare parts programs.

Visibility & exposure within the business is high due to the importance of reliability and multi-year, high priority efforts to achieve breakthrough improvements in performance.

Responsibilities:
Work with other Reliability Engineers and many other disciplines both in St. Charles Operations and in the Plastics Reliability Network to learn and apply basic and advanced reliability modeling tools to help solve reliability & availability problems.

Serve as part of the St. Charles Operations reliability engineering network, participating on global teams and sub-teams working to leverage solutions to issues and to develop best practices.

Achieve results by focusing on determining opportunities that have historically impacted the plant's measured asset capability and the opportunities identified as "high-risk" in risk assessments, reliability models, etc.

Urgent response to day to day maintenance issues will mostly be deferred to other team members.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience is required. Strong leadership, interpersonal and technical skills are required.

Minimum travel is required and would be mostly related to equipment repair follow-up at repair vendors as well as for training.

A minimum requirement for this U.S. - based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident or qualifying Asylee / Refugee).

Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer a minimum of 5 years with varied experience assignments in various functions such as production, maintenance, project management, engineering, etc.

Practical experience in improving rotating equipment reliability & availability is a plus (knowledge of equipment, how to improve operating discipline, critical spare parts identification, etc.).

Please Note: Domestic relocation is supported for this position.
