Genetics Guest Faculty
Sarah Lawrence College seeks a biologist to teach a one-semester course in genetics in the Fall, 2014. This course will be an introductory-level course and will include a weekly laboratory component.
The position is a half time guest appointment, requires two full days on campus including or in addition to the weekly 3-hour lab section, and is compensated as a half-time appointment. Aside from class (max. 15 students), the faculty member will meet biweekly with each student individually to work on a project culminating in a paper. Thus, we seek a person dedicated to developing the research writing and analytical skills of their students in addition to imparting the material of their discipline. College level teaching experience is required.
