DESCRIPTION

Summary:
Directs/Leads employees who build, install, setup, service and repair equipment and machinery. Coordinates and schedules field services representatives. Maintains offices and inventory of spare parts and supplies to provide required services. Negotiates service contracts for machinery and equipment, adhering to policy and quality service standards. Trains new field services representatives.

DUTIES

Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety
  • Assure all safety procedures and JHA / pre-task analysis established and completely adhered too
  • Conduct daily crew huddles (safety, quality, schedule, & productivity must be discussed)
  • Identify and remove barriers to maintain safety, quality, schedule, & productivity
  • Consistently enforce shop rules
  • Maintain a professional job site at all times including safety, quality, good housekeeping, employee relations, & customer interface
Budget
  • Follow the P3 process to understand, distribute and forecast resources to the budget and customer timing
o Manage/Approve/Submit site resource field service reports (weekly)
  • Maintain +-5% of project budget through life of the project
  • Manage/Approve site related expense reports (monthly)
Forecasting
  • Forecast resources and hours through entire project
o track hours using (CPC worksheet, excel) (weekly)
o Maintain -+5% (monthly)
o forecast to complete resources/hours (MRFP) (monthly)

Reporting
  • Document and report project status, open issues, resolutions (daily)
  • Manufacturing
o Follow the P7 process and checklists
  • Commissioning
o Follow the P8 process and checklists
  • Comply with our internal supplier change process
  • Receive or prepare work orders
  • Prepare/Manage/Lead whiteboard meetings (daily)
  • Interface with project PM, Manufacturing Leader Team, and the customer (daily)
  • Participate in team meetings (weekly)
o Participate in online team survey (weekly)

Leadership
  • Establish and distribute task sheets to each employee (daily)
  • Measure hourly productivity
  • Monitor & evaluate work performance of employees providing frequent feedback.
  • Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
  • Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of construction trades workers.
  • Assists workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Specific Knowledge -- Thorough knowledge of tooling and automated systems and the integration and installation process -- Powertrain metal cutting -- CNC systems exposure into systems views
  • Management of Personnel Resources -- Skilled trade management experience
  • Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Qualifications (Education, Training, Certification, Licenses, Experience):
  • Overall Experience -- A minimum of two to four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required
  • Education -- These occupations require a high school diploma, associates or higher degree preferred.
  • Travel -- Requires extensive travel, may be onsite for weeks or months, up to 8 months at a time (COMAU will fly back every other weekend or every third weekend for international travel)
  • Passport - must have the ability to obtain a valid passport if candidate does not have one today
