The Occupational Health & Wellness Specialist builds relationships with community entities (e.g. schools, municipalities, businesses) by the coordination and administration of quality patient care to individuals of all ages: Care that is compassionate, holistic, respectful and value-driven. Under the oversight of the Occupational Health & Wellness Outreach RN, the specialist performs clerical, technical and patient-related functions in a variety of settings,
providing occupational health & wellness services to ensure individuals are functioning in optimal physical condition and are physically suited to their position.
Additional duties include health & wellness coaching with an emphasis on nutrition, the ability to match/connect prospective new patients to our providers, and other health & wellness-related and educational activities. The person in this role must have excellent technical, interpersonal and customer service skills, be aware and responsive to the psychosocial needs of patients and their families, take direction from and assist the Outreach RN in the coordination of the day-to-day activities of the department.
Minimum Education Required:
Graduate of an Accredited
Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of
Minimum Related Years of Experience Required:
One to two years of nursing experience required. Interest or experience in Occupational Health & Wellness preferred.
The work experience requirements allow for individual manager/director flexibility recognizing such factors as: work experience in the medical field prior to attaining LPN or RN license (i.e. MA, CNA), the experience level of current unit staff, as well as interest, motivation and commitment of applicant.
Currently licensed to practice as an LPN or RN in
Trained and certified in Basic Life Support and First Aid.
Possess a valid
Wisconsin driver’s license.
