Job Description
The New Hampshire Manager of Marketing and Community Relations is responsible for planning, developing and maintaining collaborative relationships focused on member acquisition and retention with New Hampshire providers, diverse community groups, municipalities, businesses, culturally or faith based associations/clubs, and other non-profit organizations. This role is also responsible for development and implementation of key state-wide community outreach initiatives. The position is also responsible for identifying, planning, and executing marketing opportunities in New Hampshire, working collaboratively with the corporate marketing team and other BMCHP departments.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:
Coordinates the planning and development of annual marketing and outreach goals for New Hampshire; develops timelines, metrics, and project plans to achieve goals and develops reports to communicate project status.
Works collaboratively with corporate marketing team to identify and execute marketing opportunities for New Hampshire; this may include brochures, provider and community organization site signage, event signage, program booklet ads, presentations, and other TBD items.
Interacts with other BMCHP departments that have direct contact with members or providers, including, but not limited to, provider relations, customer care, and care management in support of development and execution of strategic plans to enhance provider, prospective member, and member relationships and satisfaction with the Plan, with ultimate objective of growing membership through member and provider referrals
Oversees daily operations of the New Hampshire regional outreach unit, ensuring that all outreach activities are aligned with Plan goals and objectives.
Observes competitor advertising, outreach, and other marketing activity and shares information with corporate marketing team
Researches, develops, and manages outreach strategies and plans which identify organizations associated with target / underserved populations, and which meet the requirements of the Plan’s contracts with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services for Medicaid Care Management Program.
Initiates and maintains relationships with regional/state-wide community organizations to educate prospective members on both New Hampshire Medicaid enrollment process and health and wellness topics, and to facilitate enrollment opportunities for the Plan.
Represents the Plan at various New Hampshire community meetings, events, and seminars; makes presentations on Plan products and organization.
Leads the process of New Hampshire staff hiring, work allocation and scheduling, training and professional development, performance management and related supervisory activities.
Ensures New Hampshire outreach activities are compliant with internal and external stakeholders, including tracking, reporting and training of outreach staff on compliance.
Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports on outreach activity using QuickBase or other contact management system, providing analysis of trends and outcomes

Supervision Exercised:
Supervises 3 or more permanent staff members.
Supervises temporary staff, when necessary during critical outreach periods.

Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Policy or related field required.

Preferred/Desirable:
Master’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience:
Four or more years progressively responsible experience in community relations or community advocacy required.
Four or more years marketing and/or communications experience, preferably in a healthcare environment

Preferred/Desirable:
Three years supervisory experience strongly prefer
Experience working with providers

Competencies, Skills, and Attributes :
Highly developed organizational and analytical skills, with sharp attention to detail.
Reliability, commitment to setting and meeting goals a must.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with community groups and leaders.
A keen sense of judgment and tact, as well as ability to work with all levels of management,
media, community organizations and general public.
Experience using a contact management system such as QuickBase or salesforce.com to track and report on sales or outreach activity.
Excellent interpersonal skills required to effectively develop and maintain strong working
relationships across all levels of the organization.
Strong writing skills.
Experience tracking and analyzing competitor behavior.
Ability to motivate others to achieve goals.
High proficiency in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Proficiency in
Facets, Microsoft Project, Visio and GeoAccess helpful.
Bi-lingual ability preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Ability to work OT during peak periods.
Job may require lifting and transporting marketing materials such as signage, collateral, and premium items
