This temporary position is responsible for project coordination of departmental activities, deadlines and schedules. Follow up with project manager regarding pending projects needs. Writes technical reports and helps with the development of statements of work (SOWs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), purchase requisitions (PRs), and funding. Additional reports, technical writing, meeting attendance, interdepartmental communications as directed, and miscellaneous administrative duties as required. Duties: ’ Identifies and plans specific items and works with Project Manager and other department members to implement work initiatives on departmental projects.
’ Implementation of departmental and organizational projects with minimal supervision. Identifies and resolves complex problems in accordance with established procedures and parameters.
’ Prepares a variety of technically written documents, analytical reports, studies, documents, and presentations.
’ May assist in the preparation of contract documents.
’ Communicates with representatives of various departments to discuss construction requirements, projected usage, and determine future needs.
’ Communicates with management, operating department personnel, contractors, vendors, and Procurement, in order to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
’ Understand and interprets blueprints and schematic drawings, and comprehends and makes inferences from written material.
’ Performs other duties as assigned.
’ Two years of contract and/or construction related experience including some field experience.
’ Three years of progressive experience in a design or construction environment.
’ Prefer an Associates Degree in business, engineering, traffic, or planning related fields. Education may be waived based on extensive experience.
’ Valid Florida Drivers License
