Qualifications & Requirements

Ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results. The candidate must also work effectively as part of a Firmwide Business Development team. The candidate will be responsible for having a solid command of a number of different technology applications to produce a high-end and professional work product, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and QuarkXPress. Proficiency with HTML and Adobe PhotoShop is desirable. Strong project management and sound judgment skills are also necessary. The candidate will possess outstanding typing, proofing and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; a very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Essential Job Functions

This opening is an administrative position supporting the Litigation Practice Development area of the Business Development Department, and will report directly to the Associate Director of Litigation Business Development, the Litigation Data Specialist, and the Litigation Communications and Collateral Specialist. The candidate for this position will be responsible for coordinating initiatives included in the development plans for the Litigation Practice Group of the Firm. Initiatives in these plans include assisting with new business pitches, matter collection, expert tracking and maintenance, trade organization participation, seminars and events, practice description content, and survey responses. The individual will also handle any other projects assigned by the Associate Director of Business Development.

Assist in the overall implementation of development plans for the Litigation Practice Group. Tasks include, but are not limited to, assistance with: (i) business pitches and presentations; (ii) matter data entry into an Access database; (iii) CRM data entry; (iv) seminar, event, and speaking engagement planning; (v) practice description creation and upkeep; and (vi) general administrative support. The candidate may also be called upon to assist with various other marketing initiatives that intersect with other functional areas within the marketing context.
