Provide classroom instruction for students, academic advising, assist in graduate placement, attend graduation ceremonies, assist with student orientation/registration, revise curricula, develop new courses, design new programs, revise instruction materials, remain current in teaching field, work on college committees and promote institutional objectives. Coordinate and supervise 30-40 student internships and conduct site visits.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A Doctor’s or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline) required.
A Master of Arts/Master of Science degree in psychology or MA/MS with 18 graduate hours in psychology and five (5) years’ experience in student internships as well as teaching at the college level. Candidate must have the ability to work with diverse populations; have excellent personal and interpersonal skills; be organized, assertive and objective.
