Summary of Duties
Assists in the coordination of care for patients needing
infusion therapy services on an inpatient and outpatient
basis.Works with the Infusion Services Manager to promote and
enhance IV skills and knowledge needed by the general nursing
staff.Assists in marketing infusion therapy to the internal and
external customers of TCH.Participates in moderate sedation on
a regular basis. Maintains education in infusion related issues to
keep TCH current in issues affecting patient care.Works with
allied departments within the hospital and physician offices to
assist in the care of outpatients with a variety of

a) License: Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Oregon
State Board of Nursing.
1. ACLS preferred on date of hire and required within six
months of hire if assisting with moderate sedation
2. OCN preferred
3. Completion of PICC line placement competency before the
placement of PICC’s
4. CRNI preferred on date of hire or within one year after PICC
5. Moderate sedation certification preferred on date of hire, and
required within 6 months of hire if performing sedation
1. Minimum 5 years general acute care Med/Surg nursing with
excellent assessment skills
2. Minimum 5 years peripheral IV’s, venipuncture and/or
central lines management

equipment up to 50 pounds five to ten times per shift. Assists
in the movement of patients and/or equipment whose weight may range
from 30 to 500 pounds, pushes or pulls weights, walks and/or stands
for 5-8 hours/shift, lifts 35-40 pounds. Must have adequate
range of motion to accomplish duties.
