This is an Inclement Weather Essential Position: You are expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES:
You will work under the administrative supervision of the Medical Director. You will perform in accordance with policies and guidelines established by supervisor. Exercises independent judgment with full responsibility for professional diagnosis, treatment, referral and disposition of patients.

You will serve as a board certified Family Practice Physician. Scope of services include, but are not limited to, examination, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of medical, surgical, obstetric, gynecological, and orthopedic care.

You will take ownership, responsibility for care of assigned panel of patients. Provides first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for infants, children, youth, and adults according to current standards of care and Army policy and relevant regulations. Leads a multi-disciplinary team of individuals who collectively take responsibility for the ongoing care of patients. Coordinates and/or integrates care across all elements of the healthcare system (e.g., subspecialty care, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes) and the patient's community (e.g., family, public and private community-based services). Completes required records pertaining to all medical services provided in accordance with specified procedures and regulations.

You will teach and provide consultation to other health care providers as assigned.

Participates in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and quality assurance activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications: • Degree: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicants graduation. [A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States may be demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) (or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country).]
• Graduate Training: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree, a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training.
• Licensure/Certification: Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
• Specialized Experience: Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess 4 years of residency training in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training. This required experience/training will include skills, such as, but not limited to, a wide range of medical duties specializing in all aspects of care such as advanced examination, diagnosis, and treatment to ensure effectiveness of treatment, post discharge. At least one year of this experience must have been at the next lower level, which would involve independent treatment of complex cases requiring advanced skills.

This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. This position requires a Child Background Check (CNACI).

Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Must provide documents for credentialing for health care positions.

All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certification Current Advanced Life Support of other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
