Exelis is seeking an IT Security Analyst/Engineer. Under the general supervision of the Manager of Infrastructure, Operations and Support, the IT Security Analyst/Engineer will be expected to:
-Participate in the planning and design of an enterprise business continuity plan and disaster recovery plans.
-Maintain up to date knowledge of the IT security industry, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
-Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
-Deply, integrate and configure security solutions and enhancements.
-Maintain up to date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all devices.
-Maintain operational configurations of all security solutions per established baselines.
-Monitor security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
-Review security logs and reports of all devices and coordinate investigation and/or remediation activities as appropriate.
-Participate in investigation into problematic activity.
-Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.
-Provide end user support for security solutions.
-7 years' of progressive experience in a hands on IT security leadership role within an enterprise IT environment (e.g., 3500+ end users, 500+ infrastructure nodes, geographically separated locations, etc.) required.
-Hands on experience implementing and managing an IT security program for compliance with FISMA, DITSCAP, DIACAP, NIST SP 800-53, DCID 6/3, ICD 503 or similar regulatory guidance required.
-Experience, within the last 3 years, administering IT security in a secured environment (e.g., SIPRNET, CWAN, etc.) required.
-Possession of one or more industry recognized IT certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA, Security+, RHCSS, SCNP, SCNA, etc.) required.
-Hands on experience implementing and managing IT security baselines, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools, vulnerability management tools and configuration management tools required.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field required.
-**Possession of a favorable SSBI adudicated within the last two (2) years is REQUIRED.
-Hands on experience administering mainstream IT security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), proxies, encryption solutions, protocol analyzers, web filters, etc. desired.
-Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems desired.
-Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards desired.
