Broadcast Online Radio is currently seeking interns who are outgoing and self motivated to come join our team. Interns will be responsible for running errands and day to day office duties. Interns will also be responsible for organizing, preparing, coordinating, and executing promotional events and sells.
You will assist on-air personalities, brainstorm new ideas, and communicate with clients/advertisers. Interns will also be responsible for updating social networking sites, event set up, attending promotional events, interacting with the public,and conducting market research.You should have dependable transportation, a positive attitude, and be able to follow directions. We are looking for people who pay particular attention to details, take pride in their work and demonstrate professionalism. This is a non-paid internship,
You will be responsible for developing, closing and maintaining advertising accounts for radio stations. Sales interns may generate possible sales revenue through selling various advertising tools on air promotions, radio advertising packages, website ads and sponsorships of programs. You will also be responsible for growing and developing new advertising briefs in an effective and timely manner. Other duties include preparing and doing follow up on media schedules, contact calls, production briefs, sells proposals, and sells reports. Prior media sales experience is an advantage but not required. Interns must also possess good presentation, negotiation, organizational and communication skills.
Interns should be working toward undergraduate degrees at accredited college or university. Preferred majors: mass communications, business marketing, broadcast journalism, or music majors.
