Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, support and administer Windows and Linux operating systems and server-associated components; maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot all issues relating to Financial Application (Oracle), database servers, upgrades, patches, and any operating systems issues

Maintain a healthy Windows Active Directory environment by modifying, changing, and reviewing group polices, logon scripts, security and permissions; ensure proper security policies and architecture are maintained

Install, configure, and manage VMware Infrastructure environment Virtual Center, Lab Manager, and Blade server hardware/host and guest virtual servers; ensure maximum system performance

Collaborate with network engineering, business application, and database administration units to ensure server and system resources are meeting business demands

Analyze and monitor all servers using appropriate monitoring software in order to provide proactive solutions

Troubleshoot and resolve business application and systems issues; provide authoritative support and technical expertise to the Desktop and Management Information Systems (MIS) Teams

Support and deploy Information Security (IS) system guidelines to a secure Information Technology infrastructure; ensure all systems remain secure and are configured accordingly

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot issues relating to Microsoft Exchange, email and Blackberry services

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent years of experience required; plus

Minimum three (3) years experience administering Windows Server Operating Systems required; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification preferred

Demonstrated experience in Unix\Linux server operating systems administration

Solid understanding of Active Directory design and implementation; proficient with Windows 2003 as well as Microsoft Exchange 2003 e-mail system required

Hands on experience with Oracle Financials (OIM, ORM & OAM) System; experience with LDAP for Microsoft, Unix & \Linux telecommunications and network systems

Able to establish and recommend policies on system use and services; strong technical skills and ability to provide technical lead support to engineer team and oversee systems administrator team

Demonstrated proficiency with technologies that will insure credible Network performance and future vision for the needs of the organization

Vision and leadership skills with the ability to understand the bigger picture while comprehending the details and balancing both sides simultaneously

Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members, unit directors, upper management, technology leaders, and support staff on an enterprise-wide basis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate an exceptional ability to articulate vision, direction, requirements and priorities

Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision

Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
