A QA Senior Analyst leads the validation effort of small to medium size products by developing and executing test strategies based on business requirements. They are accountable for test program execution, monitoring and reporting on testing progress within each test cycle and assessing the overall functional and non-functional quality of software based systems. The Senior Analyst is accountable for the design, development and application of testing standards, techniques, methodology, testing process management, test tools and quality improvement initiatives within the scope of the software development life cycle.
Develops and executes testing strategies and communicate strategies to management, project team and business stakeholders Communicates project information to all test team members and managers, as appropriate Coordinates testing activities among other testing specialists to ensure schedules are met Tracks, reports and escalates appropriately all issues affecting product quality Monitors and tracks delivery of quality control and takes corrective action as appropriate Communicates risks to management and develops possible mitigation strategies Adopts and champions organizational testing standards and process improvements Estimates level of effort for projects and change requests Represents the Quality domain at project meetings Technically manages small to medium in-site or off-site teams (5-10) Provides management insight into team's performance Creates and maintains supporting documentation and administrative reports (e.g Test Execution Reports, Status Reports, Dashboards, Metrics, etc.) Actively participates and trains others in the deployment, adoption and improvement of the organizational standards for all developed/supported systems Actively participates in process improvement initiatives by providing feedback on deployed process, helping with the piloting and training of software quality control methodologies Education : Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics or equivalent experience
Years of Experience : 5-7
Expert knowledge of SDLC and QA/QC Concepts, metrics analysis, methodologies and documentations standards Experience with test case management tools (HP Quality Center or Rational Quality Manager) Experience with defect management tools Experience with test automation tools (HP QTP, Rational Functional Tester) Expert Microsoft Office skills Advanced SQL skills Other Qualifications
