We are seeking a
highly-motivated, experienced HR professional/generalist with a passion for and expertise in Employee
Relations to join our Human Resources team! This individual will be our Employee
Relations lead, working closely with our HR team, managers in the businesses,
and employees, with situations requiring in-depth time and attention to help
improve organizational performance, as well as communications between managers
and employees. This person will also
coordinate, organize and drive all organizational training and development
programs with an outside professional training group, including but not limited
to various management/leadership development programs. There is also an opportunity to personally
work with managers to deliver/facilitate various in-house training, including
team-building, business process improvement/business brainstorm sessions, etc.,
and help each business “own” solutions to move forward. By partnering with our businesses to identify
specific training opportunities, the HR Manager will help grow and develop
future leaders within our business, as well as increase the skills of our
employees company-wide. As an HR
generalist, this individual will also work closely with the HR team to assist
with developing organizational career-pathing, development and roll-out of new
organizational competencies and other HR initiatives.
- Serve as our HR
Employee Relations “go-to” person for matters requiring focused time,
attention and follow-up to achieve strengthened communications between
managers and employees; increase organizational performance by helping
managers with performance appraisals and establishing realistic and
specific goals; assist managers with any disciplinary issues, including
documentation from beginning though resolution; and handling any
unemployment matters/hearings and EEOC claims.
- Work closely with the
Director of Human Resources to plan corporate training and development
needs/programs and then work with outside firm to deliver training to our
employees as an extension of our team. This individual will be the
internal driver/coordinator to organize and contact attendees to arrange
dates and times for each training session and employee ensure all notifications/communications
are sent out professionally and in a timely manner.
- Promote and advance corporate
momentum and enthusiasm to embrace training and development opportunities
from expressed interests of the businesses, and generate continued
interest with our interactive training and development initiatives, both corporate-wide
and with individual teams.
- As needed, develop,
write, and assemble/coordinate interactive training programs, for our
various businesses by working with individual teams to assess specific business
and team needs. The training and
development process includes everything from business needs analysis,
development of content, creation of training materials (icebreakers,
role-playing scenarios, and all visuals, PowerPoints, hand-outs, etc.) and
post-program evaluation. Develop
(or work with outside firm) a means of measuring the effectiveness of the
training and development programs through participant surveys, etc.
- Assist recruiting team
with leading new hire orientations and the on-boarding of new employees,
ONLY APPLY if you have experience both as a HR Generalist, and have
specifically worked with Employee Relations and EEOC laws and compliance)
degree, preferably in a related field (Human Resources, Organizational
- 5-7 years of
previous Human Resources generalist experience, including a focus and expertise
in Employee Relations is required. A HR
Generalist will also have had exposure to other HR functional areas (training, compensation,
performance management, employee benefits, recruiting and retention, etc.).
- 3-4 years
experience in a fast-paced, “competitive,” professional, corporate environment
working with and enhancing employee relations is required.
- A solid track
record of conflict resolution and proven employee relations expertise required.
- Experience with
the development of dynamic, interactive adult learning programs is important.

- PHR/SPHR is
desirable; Training and Development certification is desirable; Masters Degree
in HR or Organizational Development a plus, but not necessary.
