Hardeman Landscape Nursery, Inc hardemanlandscape.com We are seeking a qualified candidate to manage our pest control/fertilization, water management and horticulture practices on our landscape maintenance projects and nursery operations. Horticulturist Self-motivated, organized, written and oral communication skills, computer literate. 1. Tasks: ▪ Daily/ monthly/ quarterly scheduling of all maintenance related Floriculture, pest control/ fertilization, irrigation inspections, lighting inspection, aerifications, and verticutting. ▪ Perform daily onsite property inspections. ▪ Prescribe pest control/fertilization measures. Hand on applications may be required. Then monitor application. ▪ Adjust and monitor irrigation systems operations. ▪ Perform on site meetings with clients or representatives as needed. ▪ Provide e-mail or written communications with General Manager and Account Manager in regards to site meetings. ▪ Email clients with plan of action based on meetings. ▪ Willing to train employees to progress division structure. ▪ Review or complete all daily job sheet tracking. ▪ Review or complete all monthly pest control tracking forms. ▪ Review and code (job names) receipts ▪ Order all pest control/ fertilization, and herbicide chemicals for division. To be coordinated with General Manager. ▪ Supply enhancement list of materials to Nursery Manager or delivery driver for pick up. ▪ Order/ schedule all required equipment, truck and trailer repair to divisions equipment. ▪ Oversee pest control area organization. ▪ Conform to all state of Florida Pest Control laws as they pertain to labeling. Record keeping and training. 2. Preferred Requirements: ▪ CPO-L&O State of Florida Certification- Preferred. ▪ Horticulture/Agriculture/Entomology/Degree preferred - AA, AS, BS, MBA. ▪ Previous experience in the landscaping, turfgrass, or related horticultural fields. 3. Projects: ▪ Residential Estates ▪ Commercial/ Industrial ▪ Educational Facilities ▪ Construction projects that includes maintenance. ▪ Sport turf/ Bermuda grass. ▪ Enhancement projects Residential/ Commercial 3. Position: ▪ Workday 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM with 1 hr for lunch. ▪ Monday – Friday, Saturday on an as needed basis. ▪ Position reports to our nursery in Dover, FL. 4. Benefits: Health Care – You will become eligible for health insurance coverage the first of the month following the first three (3) full months of employment. It will be necessary to carry the coverage you currently have for the first three (3) months. The cost for the health insurance will not be deducted from your salary until it goes into effect. We currently have a PPO program with United HealthCare. Hardeman Landscape is currently paying 63% of the health care cost and the employee is responsible for 37% of the cost. It is not necessary for you to carry our coverage if you already have health insurance and do not wish to change your current provider. Vacation Time – You will receive one (1) week paid vacation after the first year of employment. Two (2) weeks paid vacation after the second year of employment. An additional week of earned pay, not time off, will be received after five (5) years of employment. Holidays – Christmas, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Fourth of July, ½ day on Good Friday. Probation Period – The first ninety (90) days of employment will be a probation period.
