The University of Alabama School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications and nominations for full/part-time nursing faculty positions in Nursing.

Candidates for faculty positions with expertise in Adult Health and Care-giving, Gerontology, Psychiatric/Mental Health, Acute or Critical Care, Community, Nursing Administration and Health Systems, Maternal-Child, Pediatrics, and Family Health are encouraged to apply. Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship components of the faculty role. The University of Alabama School of Nursing enters a new era of progressive academic nursing leadership focused on the integration of clinical research, practice and education. Based at the states flagship Academic Health Science campus, the School of Nursing actively collaborates with other academic units and health care systems, such as the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health, Optometry, Health Professions, the UAB Health System, Children's Hospital, Veterans Hospital, Comprehensive Cancer Center and community-based health centers throughout Alabama and the South. As a top-tier academic health center, UAB offers significant opportunities through its interdisciplinary research centers for AIDS, Aging, Minority Health, Diabetes, Health Outcomes and others.
