About this Position:
Install and configure software
Ability to work closely with end users and understand their needs and requirements
Port, modify, and write system management tools
Support data storage systems and backup services.
Troubleshoot system problems quickly and effectively.
Work with others to resolve hardware and software issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Extensive experience with RedHat Kickstart installations
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, while maintaining a strong commitment to quality of work.
Provide primary system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Linux environment and performance issues (Development and Corporate environments)
Monitor and troubleshoot backups, scheduled Cron jobs, and be able to monitor systems and processes and take action
Analyze Unix/Windows Systems, check processes and log files, and retrieve and review information contained within logs for troubleshooting
Configure/Maintain monitoring systems and daily observation of system status
Required Skills and Requirements: Bachelor's degree 6 - 10 years of experience performing advanced UNIX Systems Administration with Red Hat Linux. Experience using scripting languages such as Perl and/or Python.
