Process Engineer
, to be located at our
Greenville, TX or SC
facility.
Qualifications
Degree level qualified in engineering or related scientific discipline
At least 5-7 years of process engineering experience with a proven track record of successful project completion. Person shall have demonstrated leadership of projects teams or other multi-functional groups.
A solid understanding of Six Sigma and or Lean tools. Six Sigma awareness or preferably qualification at GB or BB level and Formal Lean training would be preferred.
Skills should include: MSE (or Gauge R&R), Component of Variation (COV) Studies, Designed Experiments (DOE), and critical thinking.
Experience in resolving product and process capability issues in a manufacturing environment.
Solid Engineering (chemical, mechanical or electrical) knowledge/background
Resin knowledge (preferable)
Composite knowledge (preferable)
Excellent computer skills (more than basic PC work)
Very numerate – statistically strong
Practical, hands on experience
Ability to relocate.
Responsibilities
The GEO Process Engineering group consists of process engineers that are responsible for implementation of productivity improvements and capacity optimization on constrained processes across multiple sites. The process engineer will develop process and machine solutions, define project scopes, lead process improvements teams, and manage or participate in projects, as required. Process engineers are also responsible for implementing global manufacturing strategies. These will include relocation of existing products or product families to alternate facilities as well as introduction of new products and processes. Person may be required to supervise and manage outside contractors, act as Process Lead on capital projects, and participate on internal cross functional teams to complete project work. Person will be required to observe processes, understand the key process parameters, and be able to understand the relationship between these and the product’s key characteristics.
