Position requires professional, documented experience and achievement in
marketing and annual planned giving; major gifts; grant writing, corporate and
foundation fundraising; public relations; and program implementation.
You need to have the demonstrated ability to manage fundraising programs, which include soliciting and closing corporate funding partnerships; major gifts acquisition;
memorials; workplace giving; and, special activities.
7 to 10 years experience with successful fundraising. Demonstrated ability to influence community and business leaders through strong presentations skills. Ability to interact and build relationships with people at all levels of society. Experience in formulating strategies/plans, and executing them successfully, and at least 5 years managing Development and Public Relations Programs that increase awareness and understanding of an entity
through media, promotions and publications.
Director will work with the President/Chief Executive Officer to create funding strategies that increase the organization’s support from individuals, corporations,
foundations/other sources, and meet fundraising goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing a fundraising strategy; writing and tracking grant proposals; maintaining and enhancing the annual donor program; developing and maintaining close working relationships with the philanthropic
community, individual and corporate donors, and sponsors.
Director will be required to assess, coordinate,
implement, facilitate, maintain and evaluate ongoing fundraising activities in
keeping with the goals of the long range strategic plan, and manage
agency’s day-to-day development operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong, prior non-profit experience, a Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s/MBA strongly preferred; outstanding interpersonal, organizational and verbal/written communications skills; a minimum of 7 to 10 years comprehensive
experience with broad appeal, strong initiative and excellent leadership abilities.
Compensation: Generous salary, fully-funded pension program, paid medical, 3 weeks vacation,
2 weeks sick time, 5 Personal days, 10 paid holidays and 35-hour work week.
