Job Description:

Works closely with the Director of Hospital Compliance in the day to day activities to provide comprehensive, effective and efficient programs which enable management and staff to maintain both compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and payer bodies, and with laws and the policies of LVHN. Assists in the management of non-billing/coding compliance initiatives. Assists the Director of Hospital Compliance with designing, developing, and carrying out key aspects of the compliance work plan, compliance initiatives, compliance training, and other manner of compliance program development so that LVHN’s Code of Conduct and all statements of policy and procedures of LVHN are understood and able to be followed by LVHN personnel in a manner that is consistent with institutional objectives for integrity, ethics, adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and LVHN’s high standards of administrative practices.

Minimum Requirements:

Post-secondary degree from an accredited institution.

Five years related compliance experience in hospitals or other provider settings.

Knowledge of compliance related laws and regulations. Familiarity with the OIG work plan. Knowledge of recent cases and other regulatory expectations imposed on health care systems by various locals, state and federal government agencies.

Influenza vaccination will be required for all personnel working within LVHN, who have patient contact, unless medically contraindicated or due to a bonafide religious belief or practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Detailed familiarity with compliance program management, compliance training and education, compliance monitoring and auditing procedures, and compliance issues, trends and topics.

B.A. or R.N. or RHIA, or Paralegal Degree or equivalent education and/or experience in a health care environment.

Licensure and Certifications:

Certification in Healthcare Compliance Preferred.
