Liaison International , a stable, fast-growing, and profitable (for 20 years) company that specializes in providing state-of-the-art information technology products and services to educational associations, accrediting agencies, institutions of higher education, and health professions, is seeking a candidate with skills and experience in the area of Software Quality Assurance (QA). This position requires a solid understanding of web applications, relational databases and SQL queries, as well as automated & manual testing methods. Positions are available in our Watertown, MA office as well as our Buffalo, NY office.

What you'll be doing:
The candidate will be working on a variety of projects, including:

Enhancing and extending Liaison's existing Ruby on Rails web applications

Creating new applications leveraging Ruby on Rails and other open source technologies

Developing standardized modules and tools for our code library to speed our time to market

Helping us develop a solid release/deployment management framework

What you'll need for this position:
3+ years of MVC-based web application development experience, including proven experience in Ruby on Rails

Solid SQL experience (developing queries and stored procedures)

Experience with the Apache/Linux environment

Working knowledge/experience with HTML/Javascript/CSS/AJAX

Understanding of source control systems (Subversion / Git a plus)

Experience working in a dynamic, client-driven development environment

Ability to work well independently and within a team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
