We are a leading global aviation supplier designing, manufacturing, and distributing advanced electronic systems, products, and services to commercial, defense and space industries.

The Aerospace Engineering Flight Management Systems (FMS) product line located in Phoenix, AZ has an immediate opening for a software development process engineer. The incumbent will participate with a process team to define and deploy common processes, organizational initiatives and other methods/tools used across multiple programs within the FMS product line. This position will support strategies and plans for upgrades, functional support, documentation, training and rollouts of new and improved processes. Also included is the support of process improvement roadmaps with metrics and collecting feedback. The incumbent will support the process focal in certification audits and have knowledge of related development and certification plans, test results, procedure handbooks and software accomplishment documents. Other duties include process assessments using a variety of tools, employing Six Sigma methods/tools to identify and drive improvement projects, supporting the deployment of process initiatives across FMS, working closely with global counterparts and ensuring that all processes support the Aero IEP model.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline 2 years experience in software engineering U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to export restrictions
Additional Qualifications: Strong process orientation is as well as effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate the resolution of complex issues. Knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods and information relating to software development as well as understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools. Strong interpersonal, communication, teaming, customer interaction and personal leadership abilities and ability to handle multiple activities/priorities effectively. Action oriented, results driven, high energy, self starter, innovative with new approaches to design work, influential with peers and customers and demonstrate critical thinking skills to drive to root cause. Ability to work with cross-functional engineers (integration, verification, software, systems) in a team environment.
