The Finance function within BAT plays an integral part in making sure all our operations run effectively, supporting the company strategy and ultimately contributing to our future success.
Within the Finance function, you will work towards the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification. Within this role you will participate in assignments in Financial Accounting/Shared Services, Management Accounting, Marketing Finance and Operations Finance. You may also be involved in assignments within Taxation, Treasury, Audit and Strategy Planning.

There is also a practical aspect to this role, where as a management trainee you will learn about IT Desktop skills, Systems and Procedure Development, information Management, Project Management, Business Evaluation and Appraisal, Business Strategy and External Relationships.
Within this essential business function you will deepen your understanding in three main areas: Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing & Distribution, and Strategy, Planning and Insights. The specific projects you will be involved in will really depend on when you join our organisation, however throughout your two year trainee placement you will gain an understanding of key marketing elements including Brand Positioning, Brand Authorship, Consumer Dialogue, Account Classification and Relationships, Strategy Planning and Insights and Market Tracking.
The International Management Trainee Program is a two-year accelerated development Program that is the start of a rewarding career path at BAT. Management Trainees (MTs) will be given the opportunity to work on real tasks from the beginning, directly contributing to the business and taking on increased levels of responsibility as they progress. The MT Program provides a solid foundation in a particular functional area, and widens participants' perspectives through leadership and business competency development.
The Program is structured around a highly effective integrated learning approach, with focus on, on-the-job development interventions, interaction with others and formal training Program.
