Posted Position Title Nurse Practioner (NP) Career Level Experienced Function Human Resources Function Segment Health Services Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces New York City New York Postal Code 10112-0002 Role Summary/Purpose The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide medical services to NBCU employees in an occupational setting for both personal and work-related illnesses and injuries. The job will include promotion and oversight of NBCU Medical policies, programs and procedures as well as assuring compliance set by OSHA, federal, state and local laws. Essential Responsibilities
Provide direct adult patient care to NBCU employees for both emergent and non-emergent situations.
Diagnose illness and injury.
Perform therapeutic and corrective measures including wound care, allergy shots and prescribing medication when condition falls within scope of certified practice.
Perform in-house testing including pregnancy tests, glucose monitoring, urinalysis, throat culture and eye exams.
oInterpret laboratory results and x-rays.
Perform physical examinations for NBCU employees and for medical compliance exams (i.e. DOT, respiratory surveillance, hearing conservation) when indicated by NBCU and OSHA standards.
Provide travel health counseling and immunizations.
Use medical expertise to help other business units with employee issues such as transitional work assignments and accommodations.
Provide clinical role in return-to-work programs involving both work-related and personal disability cases.
Partner with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to execute medical compliance guidelines according to Federal/State/Local laws.
Investigate and provide expertise on public health issues such as outbreaks and pandemics.
Provide health counseling and actively participate in health promotion/wellness programs.
Assume direct responsibility for clinical services when Medical Director and Associate Medical Director are not available. Qualifications/Requirements
RN and BS degree
Graduate of 3 year nurse practitioner program with minimum 3 years post program experience in adult care outpatient setting or other appropriate setting
Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience. Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. Desired Characteristics
Previous experience with Workers Compensation and Disability cases.
Ability to work independently, if required, on show productions or special projects.

Prior experience in an occupational/corporate clinical setting.
