We are seeking those who have the desire and commitment to help us achieve that mission. We are presently seeking a Lean Manager in Miami, FL. Summary: The job incumbent ensures the implementation of lean principles in the responsible Customer Service Center (CSC) in cooperation with the regional and Corporate Lean Manufacturing teams. Lean Manufacturing Implement and sustain Lean principles as a coach/mentor in the responsible CSC Steer and/or participate in performance improvement projects in cooperation with the regional and/or Corporate Lean Manufacturing teams Analyze data for each department within the responsible CSC needed for lean implementation and process changes Collaborate with leadership team in planning phases and execution of activities to achieve improved productivity, quality and safety through Lean Based Management practices Provide technical knowledge, inspiration and mentoring to CSC management and staff Ensure processes are within customer specifications and quality standards (e.g. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA), etc) Support any lean initiative, regional and Corporate, as required
Leadership Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s) Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years working experience with managerial tasks 3 - 5 years extensive experience applying Lean principles in an operations setting Familiarity with the Toyota model is highly preferred Familiarity with lean tools and principles Strong presentation, communication, training and interpersonal skills Demonstrable record of understanding and meeting customer expectations Proven track record of understanding of the drivers of product and labor cost variances Self starter, self driven Travel 6-8 events per year Must be flexible to work longer hours and possible some nights if needed. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications that includes MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
