Patients at The University of Arizona Cancer Center are treated in one or more of our multidisciplinary clinics. Each clinic has a team of physicians and health care professionals, such as medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, nutritionists, social workers, genetic counselors and more, who are experts in their specialties. This multidisciplinary approach means our patients get the best treatment possible: treatment tailored to them.
The two-story Fasseas Cancer Clinic, a collaboration between University Medical Center and the Arizona Cancer Center, provides comprehensive oncology services and access to clinical trials through the Arizona Cancer Center. Patients treated here receive the highest-quality outpatient treatment, lab services and ongoing care.
Responsible for the function and practice of the elective surgery scheduling operations and Perioperative Services billing operations. Participates in the development of scheduling and billing policies and procedures. Develops and maintains effective interactions with departments that affect the scheduling and billing processes, such as Transition Management, Ancillary Departments, and Physician Offices. Maintains and monitors adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Maintains confidentiality and supports the mission/vision of the department and the hospital.
High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two years of experience in surgery scheduling either in a physician’s office or clinic setting or hospital setting required. In addition, medical terminology training is required.
Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing and/or medical collections. Some college level course completion preferred. Understanding of operating room supplies.
