Career opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to work in a collaborative setting with other engineers, architects, planners and designers on commercial, educational, and institutional facilities. Professional registration with 5-10 years experience in these building types is preferred, as well as experience and/or interest in sustainable design including energy modeling and LEED certification process. Responsible for preparation of construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports under the general direction of the Mechanical Discipline Leader.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual, interested in designing and producing construction documents as needed to meet project schedules and budgets. Duties include sizing equipment, ductwork, and piping; coordinating designs with all disciplines; and participating in construction administration by processing shop drawings, document modifications, and performing site visits. Opportunity will existing for the right candidate to supervise work of Mechanical EITs and Technicians plus mentor younger staff on the mechanical engineering team.
Require strong computer skills (REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Trane Trace 700 or similar software, and equipment selection software).
Required is a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis.
