Position Title – Sr. IT Systems Administrator - Storage
The Storage Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the disk storage environment at KBR. These responsibilities will include:
Management of the storage environment including the forensics analysis, auditing, patching, planning and execution of system upgrades.
Work with the server team as required to make storage volumes available.
Perform duties related to managing and auditing system security controls to specified guidelines
Establish and manage tools for monitoring and automating alerts relative to system issues.
Maintain system maintenance and activity logs and documentation of policies and procedures for various tasks related to the operation of the storage environments
Setup, manage, and monitor all backup and redundancy infrastructure related to the storage management
Document system changes through the demand management, change management and release management processes.
Perform capacity and performance analyses on all storage and backup systems as required.
5 - 7 years of Storage Systems Administration experience (3+ years in an Enterprise environment)
Thorough understanding of NetApp Clustered ONTAP configuration and management
Experience in managing block-level storage replication to an offsite environment including using specialized backup tools such as Oracle Snap Manager
Thorough understanding of and experience in the Symantec NetBackup utility suite
Experience with Nimble Storage a plus.
Experience with EMC Clarion systems a plus.
Strong backup/recovery and disaster recovery skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related technology major.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
