All facets of the upstream process of drilling
and completing oil and gas wells primarily in northwest and west Texas and
Grant County, Oklahoma.
Work directly under the COO of the company and
utilize existing company field personnel for field work.
Additional interface by this person will be with
the geoscience, land, accounting and marketing areas of the company.
This position presents a unique opportunity for
an entrepreneurially minded person wanting to be exposed to all phases of the
oil and gas business.
Reviewing prospects with the geoscience area to
get an idea of where the prospect is, what it is, why a well is going to be
drilled, when would the well start, who are the industry partners to be in the
well and what is the total depth.
On wells to be drilled, a well plan will be
developed with offset well information gathered including logs, mud logs, bit
records, mud records, daily reports of offset wells, and inclination reports
from offset locations from the Railroad Commission.
A drilling program will then be constructed to
include casing sizes and weights, mud program, logging program, delineation of
hole sizes and exact location calls resulting in a finalized well schematic. Once the well design is complete an (AFE)
Authorization for Expenditure will also be developed to include all cost associated
with the location, drilling, completion, surface facilities and pipeline
Once a well has been successfully drilled and
determined to be commercial then a completion procedure will be prepared and
will include a fracture stimulation design in addition to the surface facility
and pipeline design.
A working knowledge of pumping oil wells with an
emphasis on rod and pump design along with facility construction is beneficial.
Production management with daily review and interface
Well economic analysis on as needed basis and
periodic company reserve report preparation.
