Acuren is currently looking for qualified NDT Technicians to support our operations out of our Ona, WV facility. The NDT Technician will be performing specific calibrations, specific Nondestructive Tests, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results under the close supervision of a higher level Technician. The NDT Technician is not the trainee level, but the first level a trainee reaches upon demonstrating ability in specific tests. They are usually trained to specific procedures and can perform only certain types of inspections on a certain set of components.
Responsibilities
Set up and inspect Nondestructive Test equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Interpret and record results of inspections
Assist Level II and III Technicians in performing NDT procedures and other operations
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Knowledge of NDT equipment

Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
Work in indoor and out door environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
Work in and near industrial hazards.
