Scope of Position
Overall responsibility for building business relationships with current, former and new business clients within the service industries.
¨ Identify and Recruit service industry employers
¨ Recruit top talent including sourcing and interviewing.
¨ Prepare and create recruitment strategies customized to employer.
¨ Meet daily with team to ensure recruitment and talent is meeting the employer’s demands.
¨ Conduct phone interviews and face to face interviews.
¨ Solicit position openings from service industry businesses in order to build an active job bank.
¨ Act as a liaison between employers and candidate referrals.
¨ Establish working relationships with employers; interact with personnel and/or manager responsible for hiring of new employees.
¨ Solicit job openings from employers and organize detailed job descriptions for job bank.
¨ Record job responsibilities and task data in the project database.
¨ Complete business analysis for business customers.
¨ Create a business plan for business customers.
¨ Review participant employment skills and match with active positions in the job bank.
¨ Assist with educating ServiceWorks referral agency partners regarding industry demands and outlook.
¨ Develop and execute marketing/advertising plan.
¨ Contact employers by phone or in person and obtain face to face meetings.
¨ Continually review business opportunities to ensure repeat business.
¨ Attend Chamber and Industry association events and other economic gatherings as necessary.
¨ Conduct job task analysis.
¨ Meet monthly performance quotas.
¨ Recruit employers for Customized Training and OJT-Tired Employment Project or Career Advancement Project.
¨ Develop career advancement opportunities with businesses.
¨ Prepare success story narratives.

BA / BS and/or equivalent of combination of related work experience and education preferred. Previous HR recruiting and/or job development experience.
Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Interpersonal communication skills to relate to both business and job seeking customers. Experience with interacting with the business community. Knowledgeable about overall workforce development and/or human resource recruitment. Ability to create opportunities for Cook County business community and job seeker community within the service industry for gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement.
