The impact you’ll have at RP
The Manager of Marketing Communications is responsible for supporting and executing our corporate communications strategy. The range of duties includes:
Manage day-to-day PR activities, including providing support for our agency partners and maintaining a global PR calendar
Produce PR-related content including writing and editing byline pieces and columns
Work with the Senior Director of Email Research to support research programs, including reviewing data, working with freelance writers, trafficking reports through the design process and executing PR and social media distribution strategies
Support for our thought leadership program, including our training initiatives and coordinating and tracking thought leadership activities and goals
Lead media relations efforts, including keeping media list up-to-date and assist in tracking media relations outreach and prepare metrics reports to track the success of PR and social media programs
Manage production of blog, newsletters, podcasts and other content, including setting up interviews and sourcing content ideas
Develop presentations, webinars and videos for virtual and live speaking engagements plus maintain events calendar and assist in pitching speaking opportunities
Coordinate support for speakers, including creation of handouts and follow-up materials
Implement social media strategies across a variety of networks, including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
Support our Knowledge Management group by preparing materials and information for our internal knowledge-sharing programs
Prepares materials for media and analyst briefings and assist with follow up from these briefings
Train employees on press, speaking and social media practices and policies
Coordinate internal message dissemination
What does it take to be successful in this role?
At least four years of PR or marketing experience, preferably in a B2B environment
Strong working knowledge of PR, social media and marketing
Strong knowledge of sales, marketing and development processes, especially in B2B
Ability to develop effective relationships and operate within a geographically dispersed team
Forward thinking and expert at brainstorming possess problem-solving
Ability to turn basic program requirements into a fully planned program with minimal oversight
Efficiently work under deadlines to complete assigned task
Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
Knowledge of salesforce.com and/or Eloqua Marketing Automation System a plus
Self-starter who is able to work collaboratively in a team environment
NOTE: Writing samples and a portfolio of work samples will be required.
