The Applicant's degree must be in bioinformatics or computer science from an accredited university with a minimum of (1) Ph.D. with 3-5 years Post-Doctorial experience with a minimum of 3-5 years post-graduate experience in cube aggregates in a given OLAP schema for calculating cross-tabular reports. The role includes the development/design of translational research/genomic database strategies, system monitoring (including planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the databases), improving database performance and capacity. Responsible for establishing naming conventions and standards for the servers and databases, specify conditions that can be evaluated to SQL three-valued logic (3VL) or Boolean (true/false/unknown) truth values, provide transformation services importing and exporting data to and from the SQL Server. Applicant should be familiar with database tools such as SQL Server Index Tuning Wizard, Microsoft SQL/OLAP Server, MySQL and Oracle architecture on UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems. The applicant will work closely with the developer to assist in overall database design, such as creating normalized databases, helping developers tune queries, assigning proper indexes, and aiding developers in the creation of triggers and stored procedures.
