1.Participates as a core team member in all business system projects related to the applicable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system(s) (e.g., Oracle). Performs root cause analyses to identify issues, and works with the applicable individuals to resolve issues in a timely manner. Ensures timely communications to affected parties (e.g., vendors, customers).
2.Compiles information regarding business requirements and transactions through discussion with, and/or observation of, the applicable individuals. Translates business requirements and transactions into specifications for internal and/or external application development; may develop code. Uses ERP implementation methodologies (e.g., GAP analysis, ASAP, JAD sessions) as appropriate.
3.Serves as an expert regarding practices and structures in the business unit (e.g., Supply Chain), and their relationships to existing and new business systems and practices. Develops reports as needed to compile and analyze data regarding business unit practices. Develops contingency plans to address business system failures; communicates plans to customers and vendors.
4.Serves as a project manager of ERP projects. Engages with business unit partners to ensure operational requirements are met, and that critical tasks are not disrupted by the implementation of new or enhanced business application functionality.
5.Enters, maintains and tracks ERP system issue resolution. Develops scenarios to test for the expected outcomes of the resolutions; works with the vendor(s) if expected outcomes are not achieved. Actively participates in determining the timelines for testing and implementation to minimize disruptions to business unit processes.
6.Helps identify process improvements through changes in practice, standardization or IT automation. Provides training on new applications; creates training materials as needed and/or uses vendors’ training materials.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; or equivalent required. A high degree of computer literacy with the applicable ERP systems/modules (e.g., Oracle Supply Chain module 11i or higher). Also required are: Working knowledge of computer languages (e.g., Express C++, XML, HTML, SQL) and databases (e.g., Oracle, UNIX); skill in business process re-engineering; excellent analytical and organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with business and technical staff and convey complex information in verbal and written form; strong project management skills.
Preferred: 5 years experience in a related capacity, including experience with multiple large full-scale, full life cycle implementations.
