POSITION TITLE: Product Engineer/Sr. Product Engineer
DEPARTMENT: REPORTS TO: Lead Engineer / Manager
POSITION TYPE: Perm/Direct hire/Salary
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Related Field
4+ years experience in Engineering
Automotive Experience Preferred
Mechanical System or Component Level Design Experience - Desired
Component Mechanism Analysis and Testing Experience Desired
RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver Engineered Solutions by:
Assisting in Packaging Bookshelved Components within Design Standards
Assisting in Developing System FMEA’s and DVP&R’s
Releasing in the System to the Customer
Meeting Engineering Cost Targets
Validating System through Analytical and/or Physical Testing
Coordinating Design Activities of Suppliers Related to Assigned Project
Support Internal and OEM Launch Activities
Prepare Engineering documentation including FMEA’s, DVP&R’s, 8D’s, ECN’s, BOM’s, etc.
Interface with CoE & Concept Development Teams
Meet the PDP Process Deliverables from a Platform Execution Point of View
Assist Lead with SOW
Coordinate Customer Meetings
Perform other duties as required

Create, monitor and report out design changes within the customers internal design change system
