The successful candidate will be responsible for creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes and equipment operations in a chemical manufacturing facility.
This position is responsible for creating new and revising existing SOPs to be used for training and ongoing daily operations.
Responsible for ongoing management of SOP database.
Requires a team-oriented individual who is also comfortable working independently.
Must be able to quickly grasp technical processes and have the confidence to diplomatically make suggestions when a process does not seem safe or optimized as 1st presented.
Must develop a rapport with R&D, safety, environmental, engineering, production, warehouse and maintenance personnel.
Must be comfortable in work environments ranging from a chemistry lab to the production floor.
Must learn the proper product stewardship from raw materials to finished product.
Must be a highly motivated and productive self-starter, who possesses strong organizational, written and oral communications skills, as well as analytical skills.
Must be able to work well under pressure and perform multiple tasks within determined deadlines.
Must be familiar with computers and common application programs (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, etc.).
Bachelors degree in Business, Technical Writing or similar discipline.
2+ years creating/managing technical documents to be used to train new and existing employees.
Experience in an ISO environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, research and project management abilities.
Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Experience with automated systems.
Experience helping a company achieve ISO certification.
