To assist patients in placing meal orders through the Room Service Program and provide diet education to patients concerning their choices under the supervision of a Licensed, Registered Dietitian. HS diploma required and completion of two years in an accredited college nutrition program preferred. Registration as a Dietetic Technician (DTR) through the American Dietetic Association (ADA) or registration eligible is preferred. Two years experience as a dietetic technician also accepted.
Previous food service and patient care experience preferred. Strong computer and telephone skills are necessary. Professional telephone etiquette is required. Strong communication skills required.
Working knowledge of therapeutic diet restrictions and modifications.
