Research and support of Special Credits Operations function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive and distribute mail and act as receptionist for the department, responding to routine inquiries.
Responsible for assigned data entry and timely and accurate preparations of documents for the department.
Assist in researching accounts, including, but not limited to, contact with trustees, courts, attorneys and other institutions as required for collection action.
Maintain credit union and department records, including but not limited to, microfilm/fiche and hard-copy files.
Provide support for staff members by training and developing familiarity with collection and other credit union functions.
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements:
Education - High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience Required - Not Applicable
Skills - Six months general office work with some knowledge of collection laws preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Must have strong personality traits to handle adverse situations daily. Proficient in use of typewriter and calculator. Familiarity with office computer software preferred.
Tenure - SC Account Support Specialist II, Category 15 requires six months tenure in the SC Account Support Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. SC Account Support Specialist III, Category 14 requires twelve months tenure in the SC Account Support Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
