Summary
As A Technical Support Analyst, you will be responsible for the primary implementation and on-going support to the customer base. This will include project management, calibrating analytical measuring instruments/equipment, providing end-user training and support, completing testing/analysis of products, writing standard operating procedures/documentation, documenting on product testing, and reporting. This position will also participate in the internal development, testing and documentation of analytical equipment. A keen understanding of the food and dairy manufacturing process and highly effective communication skills are keys to success for this position. This position does require strong analytical cause/effect reasoning skills as application feasibility and problem solving opportunities will be presented frequently.

Essential Job Functions:
Manages the implementation of projects, which includes coordination between internal and external customers, follow-ups, and documentation.

Provides end-user support of the analytical equipment which includes: Calibration development, validation/testing, and written standard operation procedures.

Perform spectrum analysis with RID equipment

Responsible for the development of customer training materials and pre/post assessments.

Provides end-user training via multiple mediums (instructor led, web based).

Maintains tests, troubleshoots and repairs analytical equipment and instrumentation both on-site and at customer sites.

Calibrates instrumentation and performs validation studies. Analyzes results and develops test specifications and procedures.

Performs monitoring of equipment status, condition and location for new and existing customers.

Prepares required documentation for the recording and notification of events and changes related to equipment such as calibrations, deviations, out of tolerances and installation reports via quarterly reports to the customer.

Participates in the internal testing, development of analytical equipment, documenting results.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree from a college or university; or two years related experience and/or training using instrumenation in a food/dairy or lab environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with instrumentation networking is a plus.

Experience in as a project manager is a plus.

Knowledge of Near Infrared (NIR) equipment and or Fiber Optics knowledge is a plus.

Must demonstrate proficiency in computer skills especially using Win 95+ and MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point. MS Access and Publisher a plus.

Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Technological Ability:
Spectrum analysis

Data analysis

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using logic and reasoning skills.

Must demonstrate good analytical skills.

Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
MS Office - Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access

Additional experience using customer relationship management software and sales cycle analysis is desired.
