WHAT YOU'LL DO
This position is a key contributor to the Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. (BATC) training and organization effectiveness department
Duties: Perform a variety of training and organization effectiveness activities in both a support and lead role as needed. Specific responsibilities include: Design and execute leading edge training (instructor-led and electronic content) to support client groups, with a focus on supervisory skills, performance management, communication, and interpersonal skills Collaborate with training owners and stakeholders across Company to determine needs and effective ways to address those needs Conduct or assist senior OE personnel in a wide range of facilitations, interventions and team building sessions to improve group effectiveness Conduct coaching to improve individual effectiveness Use assessment tools (e.g. DISC, MBTI, EQ-I, Social Styles),360s and surveys to improve effectiveness of individuals and groups Meet criteria required to satisfy periodic internal and external audits
WHAT YOU'LL NEED BS degree or higher in training, OD, communication, business or a related field. 4 years of experience in a progressive training or OD environment. Conversant with adult learning theories and a proven ability to translate those into practical application. Ability to both design and deliver training in a variety of subject matter areas, especially interpersonal skills, supervisory skills, communication, performance management and leadership. Coaching, facilitation, and team building skills; certifications preferred. Familiarity with assessment tools and surveys. Familiarity / experience with a range of talent management activities, including succession planning, developmental planning, and performance management. Excellent writing, presentation, communication, influence, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization. Customer service orientation & commitment to quality, responsibility, high work standards and initiative. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and training tools. In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher-level degree, i.e. Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
